A Drop in the Ocean
A meticulously devised plan ensures a guaranteed outcome. However, like air and emotions, the universe has a few more invisible elements. We may be unable to spot them with our eyes, but their presence affects us in every way. Destiny is one of those mysteries!
Long long ago, a deity was being transported in a cart from Madurai for installation at a temple in Perur. On the way, the cart’s axle broke causing the deity to be seated in that spot. From that moment onwards, it is revered as the Eachanari Vinayagar Teample. Enroute Coimbatore yesterday, Kaka stopped by to take its blessings.
Destiny influenced B.O.Y. 2.0’s plan too by appending a visit to the Eachanari temple. It decides to indulge today, too! Because there are no more programmes today in Coimbatore, the host – Balaji Suresh – opts to take Kaka to the renowned Dhyanalinga.
Sprawling on an impressive location, the Adiyogi Shiva Statue has made it to the Guinness World Records. At 34 metres (112 ft) tall, it is the largest bust sculpture. Kaka is flabbergasted by its massiveness! In a few photographs, he is unable to capture the statue’s entirety. The proportion of the human body to the statue is unimaginable. Posing against the meditating statue, Kaka feels tiny.
…Making us aware of a beautifully humble analogy.
“In the scheme of life, we are insignificant. Having said so, we still have the power to make a difference. Believe that. Do it!”
The calm and stillness the place imparts may make us feel insignificant and small; yet, at the same time it inspires us to do more.
A puzzle is incomplete with even one piece missing. A drop of water has the capacity to completely fill a glass to the brim.
Each one counts. Each decision we take counts. Each choice we make counts. Reaching out to even one person will make a difference. One person is capable enough to be a change-maker.
Be that one!
Kaka chose to be that one – and we are spectators (and team members) to see the impact he is creating through B.O.Y. 2.0. Balaji Suresh has written an unedited heartfelt post about his feelings vis-à-vis Kaka and B.O.Y. 2.0. Do have a look at the amount of engagement it generated and the number of people that came together virtually!
