Bharat Organ Yatra: ReBirth Trust’s Cycling Rally Sparks Organ Donation Awareness Across Pune
Pune, August 2026 — On the occasion of National Organ Donation Day, ReBirth Trust organised the “Bharat Organ Yatra” — a public awareness cycling rally held in Pune to spread the message of organ donation. The initiative drew coverage in Lokmat and Hello Pune (Page 6, 6 August 2026 edition) and in Sakal (Page 3, 10 August 2026 edition), which reported on the rally’s turnout and impact across the city.
55 Volunteers Ride From Mitramandal Chowk to Khadakwasla
The rally began at Mitramandal Chowk, Sahakarnagar, and saw enthusiastic participation from 55 dedicated volunteers who cycled together to raise awareness about the life-saving impact of organ donation. The ride concluded at Aquarius Resort near Khadakwasla Dam, where participants gathered to mark the successful completion of the event.
The entire initiative — from planning and route coordination to on-ground execution — was led by the dedicated members of Team ReBirth, whose efforts ensured the rally ran smoothly and left a strong impression on residents along the route.

Organ donation in India continues to face a wide awareness gap — thousands of patients remain on transplant waitlists every year while public understanding of donation eligibility, the process, and its life-saving impact remains limited. Community-driven awareness rides like Bharat Organ Yatra are designed to close that gap at the grassroots level, turning a public health message into a visible, shared community experience rather than a one-way campaign.
