Flight of Safety
“
I have lots of money; and I handover an open safe with lots of money to you. The key is given to you! You can use as much money as you need/want. All the money is at your discretion. I’ll only be keeping a watch on what you do. There are no limitations; you can withdraw as much money at any given time. It is all yours!
However, the moment I catch you misusing the money, I’ll take away the key; with it all the money goes away too. The safe is locked forever…’
Now, replace the safe with life and the storyteller as God! God has given us ample opportunities to do good deeds. The moment I misuse my life, God will end my time on earth! The equation is simple.
I am confident that I am doing only good work; no Coronovirus will cause me any harm. I am sure that God is with me. The Bharat Organ Yatra 2.0 is a testimony!
”
Kaka expresses his conviction in the Bharat Organ Yatra 2.0 and its cause through a metaphor.
Though we believe that Kaka is only doing a noble work, it is also our responsibility to ensure that we don’t flirt with danger!
Today, Kaka is tucked securely in an airplane flying to Pune. Kirti has dropped Kaka to the Dibrugarh airport. Bidding him farewell, Kaka steps into the airport gate for the first time in his life! Despite his first journey, Kaka approaches the right officers who guide him to the gate and the airplane. The airhostesses assist him to his seat. Once settled, he starts capturing photos of the view. The take-off and landing doesn’t rattle him at all!
The tea rates, though, flabbergast him – in the plane as well as the airport! He cannot calculate how a cup of tea can cost that much! He arrives at Pune, via Kolkata, and is received by a few ReBirth volunteers. Section 144 is imposed in Pune; more than five people cannot assemble at a given place.
Kaka is stunned to see Pune in snooze mode. He agrees to the decision taken by ReBirth to pause the Bharat Organ Yatra.
In the ReBirth office, around 30 postcards have returned with official stamps of different states. Pankaj Modani, ReBirth volunteer and CA, had sent out official correspondence about B.O.Y. 2.0 to the all the states’ Chief Ministers, Governors, and Health Ministers. The response received gives ReBirth confidence that India supports organ donation awareness!
The B.O.Y. 2.0 ride may be paused for now, but it will resume soon! And with the love it has been showered with until now, ReBirth and Kaka are confident that B.O.Y. 2.0 will be welcomed with open hearts!
Take care, until we see you again!
