Luck. Opportunities. Choices.

India is an incredible land! Its diversity is as varied as the culture. The advantage this creates is a variety of sacredness. Each community has their revered sites of worship. B.O.Y. 2.0 had the chance of experiencing such divinity at Mangaluru.

A famous folklore of the land binds the community at the famed temple situated on an islet in the middle of the sacred river Nandini. Shri Durga Parmeshwari Mata Temple at Kateel is considered one of the holiest Hindu temples.

A fortunate coincidence, rather a divine intervention, made B.O.Y.’s planning team to schedule Mangaluru during the Brahmakalashotsava.

The festival draws approximately 1 lakh devotees daily!

And it must be mentioned that the Brahmakalashotsava puja is done only once every twelve years.

Kaka and B.O.Y. 2.0 have reached Mangaluru on this pious occasion! One of our hosts, Mr Rajesh Kumar Shetty of Mangaluru, drives Kaka to the temple along with some goods for the temple’s kitchen that feeds people three meals daily. He holds a VIP pass for himself and the guest i.e. Kaka. However, there are many VIPs in the queue…

Once the temple’s team understands who our host’s guest is, the VIP status is elevated…instantly! Being an organ donor and a promoter of the noble concept, Kaka and the host are directed inside the garbha on priority! They witness the puja at the closest possible quarter! Both thank each other for the opportunity, absolutely modest and unaware of who made this special darshan possible…

So often, we file our realities into boxes, not comprehending that everything is connected. True, it is a sheer stroke of luck that Kaka reached Mangaluru on the occasion of the Brahmakalashotsava. It is also true that, years ago, he made a choice of being an organ donor.
However, he grabbed the opportunity of the Bharat Organ Yatra and being a part of ReBirth.

Luck, opportunities, and choices have collectively made Kaka experience divinity today!

Kaka spends the rest of the evening at the temple’s premises in utter bliss and gratitude. He relishes
the food served at the temple. “Today is one of the most favourite and the happiest days of B.O.Y. 2.0 for me,” Kaka shares.

ReBirth expresses sincere and deepest gratitude to destiny for making B.O.Y. 2.0 a part of the special occasion, and humbly accepts Durga Parmeshwari Mata’s blessings…! A vitthal bhajan livens up the blessed atmosphere. Kaka closes his eyes as his being dissolves with
the holy one…
