Milestones of Contentment
From the Silk City of Berhampur to the capital city Bhubaneswar, B.O.Y. 2.0 has interesting milestones to encounter today!
The morning at Berhampur has an interview scheduled with The Times of India and a television recording at News18.
As the interviews are winding up, another meet awaits its turn. Moving in opposite directions at the same time, this athlete didn’t want to miss the chance to interact with Kaka. Leaning on the information from bikers of Bhubaneswar, Katulu Ravi Kumar, a Commonwealth Games’ gold-medalist weightlifter, has traveled from Bhubaneswar only to meet Kaka!
After the photo-op, Kaka starts the journey towards Bhubaneswar. Once he hits the highway, he blurs out all obstructions. That justifies how Kaka misses acknowledging a passing biker who waves out to him. Not the one to be disheartened, this biker travels a couple of kilometers until reaching a U-turn, catches up with Kaka, and requests a small pit-stop to chat up with him. Gifting words of appreciation and wishes for the journey, the biker asks for a memorable selfie. Kaka humbly obliges and then continues to Bhubaneswar.
Mr Pupan Mohanty, the biker-host for the city, receives Kaka to welcome B.O.Y. 2.0 to Odisha’s capital. Once safely off the highway, they have lunch and break for rest.
As evening approaches, Kaka is driven to a last moment well-planned event. Bikers Vaishali Kulkarni More and Amita have organized B.O.Y. 2.0’s presentation at the Rotary Club Kalinga Bhubaneswar.
The Club’s Chairperson, Secretary, and other core members have invited Kaka to share his life experiences and B.O.Y. incidences with them. During the meeting, Kaka is bursting not only with delicious snacks but also with promises of the Rotary Club Kalinga Bhubaneswar helping B.O.Y. 2.0’s cause in their capacity!
Kaka’s appetite for dinner is already satiated. The supper with Rotary Club Kalinga Bhubaneswar members leaves no scope for any more food. Maybe, Kaka is full not just because of the food… He always says, “If an event goes off well, I feel deeply contented!”
At the end of the day, Kaka’s ‘hello!’ over the phone, alone, can illustrate how his day has been in a city!
Pupun bids him a good night’s rest in preparation for another event tomorrow. Kaka’s stomach rumbles in peace-filled to the capacity with food and fulfilment!
